


It’s since Kami Garcia announced she was going to write a comic about her, and then about BB, that I’ve been keeping an eye on it. And after her of course there is BB, and the rest of the Titans. I grew up watching the Teen Titans, and while maybe they weren’t the first DC heroes I met, they outdid everyone else in an instant, and she, Raven, made a dent in my heart as a lover of comics. I read it! I finally plucked up my courage and took the time to read the graphic novel about my favorite superhero since childhood. The 208-page Teen Titans: Robin will be released March 7. Outside of the YA field, Garcia also teamed with artists Mico Suayan, Mike Mayhew, and Jason Badger for the DC Black Label miniseries Joker/Harley: Criminal Sanity. Teen Titans hasn’t been the only YA project Garcia has worked on with DC she also wrote last year’s Constantine: Distorted Illusions, a reimagining of the classic Hellblazer character illustrated by Isaac Goodhart. Garcia revealed the news in an Instagram post teasing the Robin graphic novel, with the final question in an FAQ caption being, “Will there be more books after Robin?” to which she answered, “Yes! Picolo and I are working on book #5 now!”
